A year ago yesterday was the first time I saw the “Homes” piece of public art on Main St. Today is the one anniversary of the idea to open the art gallery for homeless and other non-traditional artists. What a Year it has been! We bought what ended up being two walls of an 1890’s building and are restoring it to its former glory, started a nonprofit and have found a number of talented people who now feel like they have a chance by working to change their lives. I feel blessed to have been given this opportunity and if all goes well, we will be open for business in four weeks. Keep the prayers and good thought coming. Will keep you posted.
